At the bench

Where the work begins.

Every Ariek piece is made by hand at our Istanbul atelier. The bench is yours from the moment you confirm.

The atelier

Where Ariek is made.

Our bench is in a quiet workshop in Istanbul, a few rooms above the Galata bridge. The light comes from the same direction every afternoon. The work happens under a Zeiss loupe, with tools polished bright.

Stones are kept in a single felt-lined drawer; setting wax in another. There is no production line because there is no inventory to produce.

Every Ariek piece passes through this room — sketched, set, and hallmarked by hand at the bench. It is signed off only when the work is worthy.

We will show this room in time. For now, the work speaks.

The process

From the bench. Every step.

The stone is selected.

Set by hand.

Inspected under the loupe.

Each piece passes through the bench at every stage. The sourcing, the setting, the polishing, the final inspection. Not one stage outsourced, not one stage automated. The atelier is small by design — because depth requires undivided attention.

From bench to box

The finished piece.

An oval solitaire — the kind of piece that leaves the bench every week.

Every piece ends here — inspected, polished, signed off. Pieces that don’t meet our standards are melted down and remade. A piece leaves the bench only when the work is worthy. Not before.

Certified

Every piece, signed off and certified.

Stones over half a carat ship with their original laboratory certificate — GIA or HRD, depending on the stone. Gold pieces are hallmarked to Turkish 18-karat standards, with international compliance for export. Above is a sample report; every stone is inspected at the atelier under the loupe before work begins. The report number and identifying details are blurred here for privacy — the actual certificate travels with your piece.

The maker

The setter.

Our setter trained for two decades in fine jewelry before Ariek existed — engagement rings, eternity bands, and anniversary pieces, made for houses that never put the maker’s name on the work.

Ariek is his work, with his name on it. When he signs off on your piece, that is the moment it becomes yours.

The standard

One bench. One piece at a time.

The atelier never queues two designs simultaneously. Yours enters the bench, takes its full attention, leaves complete. The next one waits. This is how we hold the five-day promise without sacrificing what makes the work worth keeping.

We do not subcontract. We do not outsource the setting, the hallmarking, the final polish. Every line that runs through an Ariek piece runs through the atelier’s loupe.
